Leading tech innovators in Warrington join BaseConnect, a networking platform from The Base, the Grade-A SME hub.
More than fifty of them have already signed up for the platform, which brings people from ambitious, high-growth companies together to share ideas, experiences and advice.
And the team behind the initiative say they expect BaseConnect to grow to 200 members by the year end.
“Our tenants wanted a dynamic networking platform for Warrington’s tech and SME sectors,” said Sylvie Morton, Langtree’s business development manager.
“Warrington is thriving and its employers are ambitious for success. I’m not at all surprised by the enthusiasm for the idea,” she added.

The network is free to join for any business involved in the Warrington area and will be a platform where members can:
- Become part of The Base community
- Check and register for events
- Keep up to date with news related to The Base and the sector
- Contact other members and network with them
BaseConnect to support economic growth
Steve Park, the managing director of Warrington & Co, Warrington Council’s economic development partnership with the private sector, says that the town’s high performing economy can grow further – and that BaseConnect can play a key part in that.
“We’ve got the highest employment rate in the country and are just behind Manchester for our level of new business creation, but we can achieve more,” said Mr Park.
“Facilitating growth through building networks and sharing best practice has been shown to work exceptionally well in places like London and Manchester and I know Warrington has the capability to match them.”
